About Me

In 1976, I began in the construction trade, which complemented and coincided with my interest in architecture.

My first project was a hands-on partnership building a two-story pole barn/residence outside of Nevada City.  I spent the next few years working with contractors building passive solar homes, geodesic domes, a mountain cabin in Tahoe Donner and working with my uncle building new homes in the Galt area.   I’ve had my contractor’s license since 1988 and have worked with some of my sub-contractors since 1994.

I began my business working mostly in the Pocket-area of Sacramento doing small home repairs, redwood decks and small installations and moved more into remodeling in 1990.  I have built numerous redwood decks, trellises and hot tub enclosures around the Sacramento area, but have also done deck projects in Nevada City, Loomis, Murphys and Rancho Murieta.

In 1987, I began remodeling kitchens and bathrooms, the bulk of which are in the Curtis Park and Land Park areas.  For a few years, I worked on some of the older, heritage homes in the Midtown area doing kitchens, front stair and siding re-habs, restoring an original porte-cochere and building a new pergola-style carport in the Green and Green architectural style.

My business has recommendations in the Fainted Ladies and the Sierra-Curtis Resource Directories.  I have a BA degree from CSUS in Communication Studies that I received in 1984.
